A new report from YouTube channel Gamers Nexus has found that LG smart TVs are almost constantly logging and uploading data, regardless of their connection status or power state. The TVs scan nearby Wi-Fi networks for connected devices and record audio through their built-in microphones.

The investigation also indicates that LG TVs use audio and video sampling as part of their data collection processes. This behavior continues even when the TVs are in standby mode or not connected to the internet, raising privacy concerns for users who may not be aware of this activity.
